"From Sand to Snow: Finding Alignment, Simple Abundance, and the Beauty of a Grateful Soul"
Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Rocky Mountains
"Welcome to the new home of my favorite word: Alignment.
So, I’m widening the lens. Perspectives is where my professional strategy meets my personal 'why.' It’s the alignment of business with the faith-filled life—from the quiet precision of a clean ledger to the loud, joyful chaos of being an Abuela. So while my first 13 posts here are all about the technical side of bookkeeping and HR, this is where I’m sharing the rest of the 'impeccable' details that keep me fueled and grateful:
Life with my High School Sweetheart:
We’ve been a team since I was 15 and he was 17. While we’ve been officially married since 1991, this year marks our 35th wedding anniversary—but we have been walking this path together for 40 years.
I'll be the first to tell you: life hasn’t always been peachy. We’ve been through 'stuff' that tested every bit of who we are. We’ve moved through seasons of feeling we’ve lost it & to see it completely restored. We’ve sat in the middle of faith healings and focused on raising our daughter in our bubble, protecting what mattered most.
It hasn't been easy, and it certainly hasn't been perfect, but it has been ours. I’m sharing these life-learned lessons because the good Lord didn't say it was going to be easy, but He did show us the beauty in what we know as a faith-filled “LIFE”.
The Art of Hospitality:
I believe a perfectly curated charcuterie board and a well-organized event are just as important as a balanced ledger.
Two Studios, Two Worlds:
Whether I’m waking up to the peaks in Colorado Springs or feeling the Florida sand under my feet—studio living is simple and quaint—I am enjoying LIFE! "More doesn’t always mean fulfilled. I’ve learned that the good Lord provides exactly what we need, and right now, 'enough' is the most beautiful abundance I've ever known.
This isn’t about changing what I do; it’s about sharing how I’ve learned to live. I’m opening up my personal 'ledger' to share the experiences that have shaped me—from the technical precision of my work to the spiritual growth found in the quiet moments.
It’s a collection of forty years of marriage, the joy of new life in my granddaughters, and the deep, sacred memories of those family and friends we’ve lost along the way. I’ve learned that life isn’t always perfect, and the good Lord never promised it would be easy; but through the heartbreaks and the life-learned lessons, I’ve found that you can still choose gratitude.
Whether I’m organizing a business or a room full of people for a celebration of hospitality, I’m sharing the beauty of the journey—sand, snow, and everything in between."
